Next month Noosa Council, in partnership with Urban Wildlife Gardens, is holding an Urban Wildlife Workshop at Peregian Beach.

The event is designed to engage with the wider community and increase awareness of the importance of using local native plants to create habitat and the damage that can be done to our bushland areas by weeds and invasive species.

At the workshop, Peregian Beach residents can learn how to create habitat to attract wildlife to their coastal gardens and which local native species are suitable to plant in their area. They can also find out how to identify, manage and replace environmental weeds that may be growing in their gardens.

If you are a resident of Peregian Beach you will receive an invitation to the event from Noosa Council. Members of UWG who live in other areas are welcome to join us and chat with the locals about the benefits of creating wildlife habitat to increase biodiversity in Noosa’s suburban gardens.

The event is at 10am on Saturday May 17 at Victory Park, Lorikeet Drive, Peregian Beach.
