UWG is hoping to schedule a follow up to our February workshop, ‘Creating Ponds for Frog Habitat’, with a practical demonstration by Sean Morrow of building a frog habitat.

We are looking for a member who, perhaps already has plans to install a small pond in their urban wildlife garden and, would like some free expert advice from Sean plus willing helpers to construct the pond at the workshop.

The volunteer must:

  • have a suitable location in their garden for a small pond
  • provide all materials and plants (estimated cost for rocks, liner and plants between $400 to $500 depending on size of pond)
  • liaise with Sean to check site for suitability
  • do some preliminary work, such as digging the hole, before the workshop
  • be willing to host the practical demonstration workshop for UWG members who, under Sean’s direction, will help on the day

Please email your expression of interest to admin@urbanwildlifegardens.org.au and attach a photo of the proposed pond site.
