Our Urban Wildlife Workshop at Peregian Beach, in partnership with Noosa Council, has been rescheduled for August.

The event is designed to engage with the wider community and increase awareness of the importance of using local native plants to create habitat and the damage that can be done to our bushland areas by weeds and invasive species.

At the workshop, Peregian Beach residents can learn about how to create habitat to attract wildlife to their coastal gardens and which local native species are suitable to plant in their area. They can also find out how to identify, manage and replace environmental weeds.

If you are a resident of Peregian Beach, you will receive an invitation from Noosa Council to the event. Members of UWG who live in other areas are welcome to join us and chat with the locals about the benefits of creating wildlife habitat to increase biodiversity in Noosa’s suburban gardens.

The event is at 10am on Saturday August 9 at Victory Park, Lorikeet Drive, Peregian Beach (or Peregian Community House in the event of bad weather).
