For our new members, here is information on where to buy local plants. Its worth remembering that Native nursery doesn’t mean local plants from provincial stock. The Landcare nurseries and Coolum Native nursery are the best places to buy plants that are from this area. This doesn’t mean other nursery’s don’t sell local plants but its best to ask.

A few years ago, Bruce Hallett, together with other NICA members, Roger Kelly and Bob Carey, installed a native bee hive at the Sunshine Beach Primary School near their permaculture garden. The students were amazed at the hard work the bees had done in just six weeks. If you are interested in getting a hive, NICA may be able to help.
